Caroline Hedaya Spring 2012

Caroline Hedaya’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is a super fresh approach to her retro inspiration. Large white polka-dots, lace and ruffles are flirty and feminine. Recurring elements are cut-outs on the back and shoulders in several pieces and wide-leg, tie-waist pants give an updated 1960s feel. The use of aqua blue, nude, kelly green, and navy blue offers a variety of both bright and soft colors for the season.
Hedaya draws inspiration from vintage looks and classic styles. Every Caroline Hedaya piece is about building a classic wardrobe and filling one’s closet with clothes that are enjoyed each time they are worn.

Naeem Khan Spring 2012

The evening wear Maestro, Naeem Khan never fails to delight, dazzle, and surprise. The inspiration for his spring 2012 collection was actress Ava Gardner in The Barefoot Contessa, and costume designer Edith Head. Richly embellished detailed gowns, and vibrant hues of yellow, lilac and bright pink mesmerized us as the models walked down a mirrored runway, emerging as if from a desert mirage. Metallic fabrics and embroideries were used masterfully. More restrained from his fall 2010 collection, we are witnessing a style that is distinctively that of Mr. Khan’s.
