Erin Wasson X RCVA Spring 2010
Erin Wasson x RVCA presented us with a hippie-chic spread in a California desert scene complete with a live band. We saw silks with metallic palettes, faded denim, short boxy tops and lots of tummy. It screamed boho-SoCal with a vintage grunge twist. I guess we should all be happy to know that cut-off denim shorts and belly shirts are back in- I know for a fact that New Yorkers will be rockin’ this look come next spring!

Andy & Debb Spring 2010
As a Pratt Alum, Andy & Debb Spring 2010 was another collection that did me proud. The pieces played with shapes, textures and had a very 50’s feel. I can see them dressing the cast of MadMen with this line. We saw bubble skirts and chic tailored suits in a palette of burnt orange, copper, gold, and magentas. Kudos, Prattlings.

Lacoste Spring 2010
Classic Lacoste is “simple, sporty and chic” and that is exactly what we got. We were graced with short shorts, flowy skirts, and linen blazers in a bold palette of blues and lots of stripes. For a grand finale, Lacoste sent its full cast of models down the runway in nothing but lemon pop yellow. Looking forward to a bright future, perhaps?

Cesar Galindo Spring 2010
Cesar Galindo captivated his audience with a stunning show filled with fantasy and drama. His futuristic yet fun pieces include multi-layers of textures and fabrics- from matte to high shines, metals to stones, silk to wovens. Wavy cowl necks and exquisitely designed gowns are consistent in Galindo’s collection. As a native Texan as well, I am glad that Cesar Galindo is here in New York doing us proud.
