Almost blizzard-like conditions didn’t stop the fashion crowd from checking out the Eryn Brinie Fall/Winter 2010 presentation at the Soho flagship store. Once inside, we warmed up with spiked hot apple cider to a showing of twenty easy to wear and layered looks. Youthful, almost schoolboyish pieces were given a feminine touch through lightly puffed shoulders, delicately tucked fabric, or a simply placed bow. Fresh details like asymmetrical pockets and collars, cropped sleeves, and new silhouettes gave a modern twist to familiar classic pieces. The Isabella trench was a standout, with its bold but fluttery kimono-esque sleeves that reveal flashes of rich lace lining. Paired with black leggings or skinny pants, Eryn Brinie provides basics with an effortless yet trendy style to fall for this autumn.—Nari Kim

Parson’s designer, Cheng-Huai Chuang presented his fashion show which began with a live performance from a flamenco dancer. Influenced and inspired by Spain, his collection exuded feminine classic timeless pieces in day to evening wear.
