Anna Sui Shirts to Aid Japan


Designer Anna Sui and artist Dean Landry have just made new shirts to benefit Japan. The black and lavender tops are available online and in her NY stores and 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the shirts—Black—$20 and the Lavender—$40 , $20 of which will go to benefit Japan’s disaster relief. Malan Breton Fall 2011


Malan Breton’s fall 2011 collection, entitled Kyoto Wonderland was shown at the Metropolitan Pavillion in New York. Blacks and vivid reds dominated the show, with shimmering fabrics that punctuated the Japanese-inspired fall line. View the entire collection in the gallery below:

Act One Spring 2011 Fashion Show


Designer Sally Wu presented her spring 2011 collection at Arario Gallery in Mahattan. The polished line infused contemporary tailored silhouettes with pops of bright color, evoking a futuristic minimalist touch for the modern woman. Her show also featured Act 1 Jewelry; bright, festive and bold mixed media pieces that complimented her fresh designs. In addition to designing smart womenswear, Wu also just recently opened up her newest restaurant, Ten Ten with chef Josh Eden. Sally has also curated many art exhibitions, as well as produced films. Manuel De La Cruz Spring 2011


Manuel De La Cruz Spring 2011 collection. De La Cruz, hailing from Guatemala, presented his Andalusian-inspired apparel, titled “Santa Samana”. A dark palette dominated the collection with rich purples, blacks, and sophisticated cocktail dresses. Manuel effectively utilized fabrics such as chiffon, silk and satin to unify his elegant line.
