KSW Runway Fundraiser Call for entries

KSWKearny Street Workshop is hosting KSW Runway, their 4th annual fashion show fundraiser featuring emerging Asian American fashion and accessory designers. Proceeds benefit Kearny Street Workshop, a nonprofit. The fashion show will take place on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. We are currently seeking submissions from emerging and mid-career fashion, jewelery and accessory designers. To submit, please email 1) your name, 2) a paragraph bio and 3) attached jpgs or online images of 7-10 complete looks from your collection to [email protected] by June 4, 2012.

For collections in progress, please submit a combination of sketches and photos. Applicants will be notified of final selections on June 11th. Designers will be asked to donate one item for a fundraising auction. Accepted applicants will be required to attend two model casting calls. K-Mart Fashion Show Contest- Show Us What You Got

Want a chance to be in Kmart Fashion’s upcoming Money Can’t Buy Style Spring campaign? Show off your personal style by uploading a video submission to the Show Us What You Got contest (through 10/3/2011). Rally your friends to vote for your video to increase your chances of winning. 10 finalists will win a Samsung Galaxy Tab and Kmart Gift Card to put together an outfit that shows their signature look and then they’ll go face-to-face with fashion photographer Chris Heads in a Skype casting call. One lucky Grand Prize winner will be featured in Kmart’s upcoming Spring ad campaign joining the ranks of stylistas like the ones below!

BRULEE Summer Giveaway: How do you Indulge?

One grand prize winner will receive $1000 worth of BRULEE Lingerie & Loungewear. One runner-up will win 1 piece from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

Go ahead, indulge.
To enter, you must complete each of the following steps:

1. Submit 3-5 pictures* showing how you indulge, along with corresponding captions for each. From seeing that first tan line on your summer vacation to a love affair in Paris, hearing the first crack of crème brulee to the simple indulgence of slipping into something sexy, enjoying a lazy Sunday to indulging in a shopping spree (and everything in between) we want to know!

2. Like BRULEE on Facebook and/or follow on Twitter (@BruleeLingerie). Tell us which, or both, you are doing. (If following on Twitter, please provide us with your Twitter handle.)

3. Tell us which three BRULEE pieces from our Spring/Summer 2011 Collection you would indulge in first.

All three steps must be completed for valid entry. *Submitted pictures must be of your own creation, or must come with a credit of where you retrieved the image. Rights-protected images are not permitted.

How it Works

1) Submissions will be accepted beginning Monday, June 13th, 2011 (12am EST) through Friday, June 24th (11:59pm EST).

2) The BRULEE team will then narrow submissions down to the top 5 finalists and post their photos to theofficial BRULEE Facebook page on Monday, June 27th in a “How Do You Indulge?” photo album.

3) From here on out it’s up to you! BRULEE Facebook Fans will have until Friday, July 15th (12pm EST) to vote on the winner by “liking” their favorite finalist’s photo. The grand prize winner and one runner up will be announced that day via BRULEE Facebook and Twitter (@BruleeLingerie).
